A New Moon is the dark start of the lunar month. The Sun and Moon meet, and whatever you start in the next few days grows with the Moon. In Scorpio, the theme is transformation: ending a habit, healing a relationship, taking back your power around money.
This one comes just a few days before Mercury and Venus turn direct on 13 November, so it is a perfect bridge. You set the intention in the dark, and a week later the planets give you the green light to act on it.
My grandma's New Moon ritual
She kept it simple, and so do I.
- Clean one corner. Before the New Moon, tidy one small space: a drawer, your desk, your wallet. Scorpio likes clean foundations.
- Write two lists. On the left, what you are ready to let go of. On the right, what you want to grow instead. Be honest; Scorpio does not like polite wishes.
- Burn or tear the left list. Safely, in a sink or a bowl, or just tear it into small pieces and throw it away.
- Keep the right list. Fold it and put it under a candle, or in your wallet if it is about money. Read it again at the Full Moon on 24 November.
