What is a retrograde?
From Earth, a planet sometimes looks like it is moving backwards through the sky. It isn't really: we are overtaking it, the way a car you pass on the motorway seems to slide backwards. Astrologers read these weeks as a time to review, repair and redo, rather than to start fresh.
Mercury (three or four times a year): messages, tech, travel, contracts. Venus (every 18 months): love, exes, money and beauty. Mars (every two years): energy, anger and drive slow down.
